Under the Sailing Moon
Under the Sailing Moon is an adaptation of Homer’s The Odyssey for two
people traveling together in a small boat, sailing across a half-real, half imaginary landscape.
The story is told in fragments, floating on top of song, text, image, and physicality, exploring the real, imagined, and
symbolic relationship Odysseus and Penelope, who live only in each other’s memory.
Created and performed by CWT Co-Directors and core artists Jennifer Johnson and John Peitso.
This is a preview of a new work which will premier in October, 2008.
